Week 16 League Results and RATING DETAILS

Here are this weeks results..
________________________________________________________________________________
As most of you might know, we moved to a more enhanced rating system recently which has caused a bit of confusion, excitement and in some cases discontentment. So, I wanted to make EVERYTHING clear about how our new system is put together. I won’t go into detail here but ALL detailed information is now listed on our site at:

http://pugetsoundtabletennis.com/about-us/our-league-rating-system/

A quick overview..

Rating points are calculated on the difference between the two players.

We use the same exact system as the USATT.

We NOW offer 4 different rating adjustments so that GOOD players are NO LONGER stuck working for years just to make it up to higher tables:

1. 70 % winning ratio over 13 + attendances = 100 point adjustment (Once per season)
2. 350 – 449 rating difference. Lower rated player (win) earns 75 points instead of normal 50
3. 450 & up rating difference. Lower rated player (win) earns 100 points instead of normal 50
4. 4 & 0 – This is the big one and EVERYTHING is put in detail at the link listed above. Please take the time to read everything if you have questions, send me an email…

PLEASE BE COURTEOUS TO ALL OTHER LEAGUE MEMBERS AND VISITORS…SAVE ALL YOUR QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS UNTIL AFTER LEAGUE OR AFTER LEAGUE HAS BEGAN AND THERE IS AN OPPORTUNE MOMENT. ADDRESSING CONCERNS DURING OUR ANNOUNCEMENT TIME DELAYS LEAGUE AND CREATES A BAD ENVIRONMENT FOR EVERYONE. THANKS!

So with no further adieu…

CONGRATULATIONS TO JOSEPH CALUGAS! Joseph is the first person to receive the 100 point rating adjustment for a winning ratio OVER 70%!

Joseph just crossed his 13th attendance and has an incredible winning ratio of 80.4% WOW!

And CONGRATULATIONS TO GREG BENSON! Greg is the first person to receive a 100 point adjustment for beating someone more than 450 points above his rating level! We may have underestimated that guy :).
